| Nickel Metal-Hydride
Nickel Metal-Hydride cells do false peak easily when cold. Pro-Trak overcomes this problem by allowing the user to select discharge before charge. This allows Pro-Trak to ignore a false peak until the input capacity is more than 1000mA. When the input capacity reaches this value Pro-Trak resets the fallback and starts to track fallback from this point. This we call the lockout capacity, and can be programmed to the users requirements. Lockout is only used when discharge before charge is selected. Nickel Cadmium cells
Safety is paramount with Pro-Trak. Profile Charge Discharge messages After discharge with the remote leads
fitted, Pro-Trak makes an assessment of the pack match
and will also indicate the worst cell. After discharging the following message is displayed: Pack Match 97% The above would indicate that the pack would benefit from maintenance. The match for all cells can be viewed, and gives a good indication of the pack condition.
Requires Pro-Trak motor run-in assembly priced at £28.20
Pulsed Run-in This runs the brushes in quickly as it applies a load to the motor via the run-in assembly. Voltage is pulsed to the motor ( as a speed controller would do ), this pulsed output is also pulsed on and off every ½ second. The speed can be varied slightly by increasing the Pulse level using the scroll keys. If the voltage applied to the motor exceeds 6 volts Pro-Trak will automatically step the Pulse level down. Linear Run-In This supplies a linear voltage to the motor ( not pulsed ), this voltage is controlled by stepping the Level up or down with the scroll keys. If the voltage applied to the motor exceeds 6 volts Pro-Trak will switch to pulsed run-in automatically. Delta Fallback If the delta fallback volts is above
0.03, a short bleep will be given every 2 seconds. Changing charge current during charge Pressing key 5 while charging is in progress will allow the charge current to be changed. Use the scroll keys to change the current then press 0. The change current display will automatically return to the charge display after 5seconds if key 0 is not pressed. |
